R & D

R & D is a vital element in the design of exceptional frames and bikes, just like the close collaboration we share with the best bike racers. At Origine, our engineers, product managers and designers work directly with the bike racers we sponsor. The design of our own frames allows us to evaluate all the available technologies concerning the geometry and design.

How much easier it is for us to work hand in hand with champion cyclists such as Christophe Moreau as all our engineers, the entire design team and our production unit are all based at the same location in northern France.

Every innovation is initially tested on the test bench in the laboratory prior to being tested out on the ground. The results are then analysed in our laboratory and any changes made to optimise material resistance and the technologies used in the design.

Our frames are the fruit of technologies that we have developed in-house.
For example:
The AS process which is an asymmetric design of the chain stays to offset the power imbalance (due to the drivetrain being on the right) exerted when pedalling.

The AVS process is a worked profile that gives the bike the ability to better soak up road buzz. More information on these technologies can be found in the description of products using these same technologies.

Though discreet, these technologies give Origine bikes their front-line performance.
An Origine bike is that much more beautiful because it has a soul.
