Disc-braking road bikes

Road bikes with disc brakes give powerful and easy to modulate braking. Brake pads are hydraulically activated to compress the disc. Disc braking has now become [See more] the standard for most amateur and professional cyclists.

Disc braking is far more consistent and reliable whatever the weather conditions. Even in a downpour the pads continue to work well. The only slight concern is the possible overheating of discs on long, steep descents or when the bike is heavily loaded. To avoid this, all Origine road bikes are fitted with 160mm discs to better dissipate the heat to give you provide powerful and durable braking.

The Dynamic Response® concept reflects Origine's character: the perpetual search for excellence in performance, while retaining a certain comfort. We have amplified this on our EVO, as we have pushed the fibre dynamics to their maximum capacity.

The CCT® rear stays and EPS internal moulding optimise performance and yet cut-out road buzz. The angled laying of unidirectional carbon fibres soaks up road surface imperfections and reduces rider fatigue on long distance rides.

We have spent a considerable time in the build of our Axxome frame, as we know that you care about the quality and the performance of the bike you want to ride. The fact that the frames are not burdened by an unnecessary gram of complicated routing, that the cables are fully accessible and that there is little maintenance required. We decided not to question the essence of the Axxome but to continue to satisfy cyclists seeking a top-performance and lightweight bike.

We have chosen, while seeking more performance from the Axxome, not to change the frameset and not to bend to current fads of full integration. We have, to make your life easier, kept the seat clamp visible and easily accessible.

As for the whole Origine range, our road bikes are fully customisable using our online configurator. Customise the colour too. We've recently added new colour options to our Evo range such as Pearl White, Diva Pink, Turmeric, Bordeaux, Imperial Yellow, Orange Fusion, or choose your own frame colour using our colour on-demand option.
