Nutri-cycles.com Origine Axxome 250 LR49+ test
06/17/2015
Origine mounts these components on an Axxome Carbon F.L.U.D frame weighing between 890 and 980 grams, depending on size. The fork weighs 380 grams.

On the test side, we had already ridden the Axxome SA67 equipped with Shimano Ultegra and Mavic R-Sys SLR wheels. With this lightweight configuration, the frame weighs almost 900 grams less.

The gain is particularly noticeable on steep climbs, where the liveliness is more palpable when changing pace - and the wheels have a lot to do with it! Stiffness to take the gear up on the flat is still there, and this downhill handling train remains an asset linked to short chainstays'.

What's particularly interesting here is the good financial positioning. Origine offers top-of-the-range equipment, while remaining under the 6,000 euro mark. Not for every pocketbook, I agree, but for 5573 euros the cyclist-climber wishing to take his equipment level up a notch gets his money's worth. SRAM Red, of course, but the presence of Zipp 202s goes a long way towards ensuring this upmarket driving experience.
