Montmartre Air | Review by Journal du Geek

Montmartre Air | Review by Journal du Geek
11/02/2026
Journal du Geek, a French media outlet specializing in technology and product reviews, has tested the Montmartre Air, Origine’s urban electric bike, designed around lightweight construction and a natural riding experience.

In its review, the publication highlights its “lightweight design, discreet motor and very natural assistance”. Thanks to its low weight and Mahle X30 motor, the Montmartre Air retains much of the feel of a traditional bicycle, even when electric assistance cuts out at 25 km/h. The test also highlights how enjoyable it remains to pedal when the battery runs out.

The Journal du Geek verdict captures this philosophy particularly well: the Montmartre Air manages to “make you forget it’s an electric bike”. An approach that puts riding sensations and everyday enjoyment first.
