Rules for using a turbo trainer - Origine Cycles



Many of you use turbo trainers to continue training during winter and in bad weather or after work. Below are the rules for using a turbo trainer with your Origine bike. If you do not follow these rules, you risk damaging your bike and voiding the warranty. We therefore ask you to strictly adhere to the instructions below and should you be in any doubt to contact us immediately, and before mounting your Origine bike on a turbo trainer.

Turbo trainer compatible bikes are,

Direct Drive turbo trainers with integral cassette and rollers are compatible with most Origine bikes.

Turbo trainer compatible bikes are,

- Turbo trainers that employ a screw-in locking system, must not,
- Or turbo tainers that apply pressure on the frame, must not,
- Or turbo trainers that are in contact with the seat stays or chain stays, must not,
in any circumstances, be used with an Origine bike.

Turbo trainer user rules

If you have the slightest doubt about the compatibility of your turbo trainer, please contact us before use.
- Use the instructions for your turbo trainer to secure your bike as per its design.
- Do not stand on the pedals while riding a turbo trainer. This will create abnormal stresses that may damage your bike.
- Protect the frame from perspiration to avoid oxidising the paintwork, components, bolts and bearings etc. Any abnormal oxidation will not be considered as a criterion for exercising your warranty.
